The Certified Nursing Assistant course has online lectures. The requirements necessary for students to successfully complete the training program will be a computer or laptop which has access to the internet. Software with the minimum operating system of Windows 7, or later. For Macintosh OS X version 10.5.6 or later. The computer should have a webcam, microphone, and speakers to hear online lectures properly.
The grade requirement for the course is to pass exams with 75% or higher for the theory portion of the program. For the clinical portion, it will be on a pass or fail system based on the demonstration of competency for the hands-on skills.
The training program fee is a total cost of $1,500.
The Nursing Assistant Training Program is a 6-week full-time course. This course is designed for students who have expressed interest in certified nursing assistants. This course meets Title 22 regulations in taking care of the geriatric population in the long-term care setting. Theory and skills practice, including clinical experience at a skilled nursing facility, is conducted under nursing supervision. The course content focuses on critical thinking, decision-making, and team concepts while incorporating elements of care and communication/interpersonal skills. Upon successful completion of the course, students are qualified to apply for and take the California Competency Exam.
The course deadline is the completion of the course within the 6 weeks allotted.
The theory portion will be the first two weeks of the course. It is a synchronous class with live lectures accessed by Google meet. It’s followed by 4 weeks of skills completed at approved clinical sites. It is 6 weeks in its entirety.

The location of the clinical sites will be in cities near Sacramento, California: Auburn, Carmichael, Sacramento.
